Where after a short stay, Mano, Gerald and Jessica decided to showcase Mano’s talent and celebrate their collective adoration of the natural beauty of the country, by launching Africalis to the world.
The magnificent geological and fossil rich landscape inspired us to merge our skills and passions to create something unique that expresses our shared reverence of nature, individuality and spirituality. We set out to create a collection of handmade jewelry that would illuminates South Africa’s terrain, her exotic colors and her splendid traditions. Africalis’ designs aims to transcend conventional fashion and are a statement of self-expression. We stand not only for the empowerment of the crafter but of the wearer too.
